$10,000 Goal

The San Diego River Park Foundation is a local non-profit that fosters stewardship and appreciation of the region’s namesake river.

This year we are raising money to provide incredible hands-on nature learning experiences for underserved kids.

"Programs like yours are the only way my students get to nature"

These are kids who otherwise don't get to nature.

With your donation, we can reach more kids and transform their relationship with nature.

Did you know that more than 15,000 students have participated in our nature education experiences?

It costs about $35 to provide one child this experience.

A classroom is about $800.

Your donation today will be matched by a wonderful couple who share a passion for starting kids on a lifelong nature journey.

Your support will also help us reach more kids as we get ready for the September 2024 opening of river education and stewardship center in Mission Valley. Together we can transform lives!

The River Center at Grant Park: A Dream Taking Shape For Our San Diego River

Imagine a place in the heart of Mission Valley where kids can go to receive hands-on nature learning experiences - forging a strong connection with the river and its wildlife.

Imagine a permanent home for the river where people can learn about this natural, cultural and recreational treasure. Imagine a place which fosters nature connections to last a lifetime.

This is the vision of the River Center at Grant Park.

When we complete construction, we can start providing 10,000 students a year with unique learning experiences which include a field research, hands-on STEM lab and nature stewardship. It is all mixed together with fun, passion and the awe of nature.

This is the goal of the project, and you can be part of it. Learn more at
